The Redelec group from Argentina becomes a member of Fegime International.
At the end of 2018, at the General Assembly in Munich members of FEGIME voted unanimously to join REDELEC Argentina S.A. But the ambitions of this new member do not stop there. In the near future, it intends to expand not only the national but also the international level, i.e the South American continent.
So the new name of the organization will be FEGIME LATAM. Thanks to the addition of Latin America, the number of FEGIME organizations has grown to 19.
Redelec was founded in 2001 and since then has established itself as the largest group in Argentina with a market share of about 35%. Currently, it consists of 15 wholesalers with a total of 30 points and 1,000 employees. Actively present in all sectors of our sector, it already has a significant turnover with FEGIME Preferred Suppliers.
Contact between groups began 15 years ago, when members of the Redeckel visited Fegime participants in Spain to share ideas and best practices among themselves. The result was a group with such a vision, philosophy and mission – a solid foundation for joint work, which was already backed up by the Cooperation Agreement in October 2016. Pablo Balan, vice president of Redelec, said: “I am very happy We are already in the process of establishing partnerships with wholesalers from Uruguay, Bolivia and Peru who share the same ideas and we hope to join them. FEGIME LATAM so that we everyone has benefited from the exchange of ideas and best practices at FEGIME. ”
Nicos Kafkas, president of FEGIME at that time, added: “Our Argentine counterparts are a very close, motivated and dynamic group. I look forward to working with them in the future and learn more about their numerous projects. We have a lot to offer each other, and we will benefit from this new alliance. Just like our suppliers, of course. We are opening a new continent for them. ”
